Most days you can find me snuggled up with my sweet rescue pup Pancake, drinking a hot chocolate with an absurd number of marshmallows, and probably reading Harry Potter for the bajillionth time. I am married to the world’s most positive man, Aaron, who puts up with even my worst puns and spent four long years in the friendzone before we finally had our first date.
I keep photo shoots laidback, positive, and fun, because I firmly believe that is how we can get the best, most genuine photos. (And because who doesn’t want their shoot to be fun?!)
My photography style is a combination of capturing beautiful moments as they happen and planning out epic,
one-of-a-kind shots that will hopefully end up hanging on your wall.
I have been photographing Minnesota couples and families for more than seven years and can honestly say I freaking LOVE my job. Getting creative with my camera while watching real people go from feeling awkward to confident right in front of me absolutely lights my soul on fire!
I don’t want to just be that girl with the camera - I want to be that third wheel at your wedding cracking jokes with your grandma, carrying your backup lipstick in my camera bag just in case you need it, and feeling more like that goofy friend at your wedding rather than someone you hired. Cuz let’s face it, we’re about to become bffs!

If I had to summarize Laura in one word it would be stupendous.
She took both my engagement and wedding photos, and my husband and I simply could not be happier. Laura is excellent at communicating and is super flexible when it comes to scheduling. She has an amazing eye for photography and is so kind and funny! She made my husband and I feel comfortable while we were taking pictures, and captured our most special moments together beautifully. I will recommend her again and again to anyone who is looking for a photographer. I wish I had the option to give her more than five stars. She deserves it.

Working with Laura couldn't have been more perfect!
We immediately knew she'd be a perfect fit for us. She was funny, and easy going, and simply real. One thing that really set her apart from other photographers is the fact that she offers a full day package vs choosing 6, 8, 10 hours. Oh and she does drone photography!!! We both were feeling awkward about being in front of the camera, but she made us feel relaxed and silly during our engagement shoots. Yes, we upgraded to the adventure package that allowed splitting our time up to capture different seasons and locations. So when it came time for the wedding, the camera wasn't intimidating anymore. I had a Pinterest page of ideas going, but when it came to the day of I tossed it out and said just be you and do what you do best. Our pictures couldn't have turned out better. From the timeless classic look to the fun and creativity that was put into it, Laura was the absolute best to work with.

We met with Laura right when we got engaged and my fiance insisted on her. I already loved her because I knew her from a friends wedding that she photographed.
